Boos and Brews: Halloween At Eternity!

The guys and ghouls were out this year at our 4th Annual Halloween Party! We had a great turn out with a unique spread of fantastic costumes participating in our staff judged contest! Three lucky contestants won prizes for having the best get-ups of the night:

People were howling for our special beer release, Ominous Excursion, a BBA porter with chocolate and coconut notes. It was a dark and flavorful beer perfect for a night of tricks and treats!

We cannot wait to see what everyone has in store for us next year. Until then, stay spooky friends! Cheers!

Three Cheers For Three Years!

Just last month, Eternity Brewing had the privilege of revolving around the sun THREE times! We could not have made it to 3 years without the support of all of our beer-enthused guests. Thank you to everyone who has supported us here for the last three years, and those regulars who we have come to know and love seeing walk through our doors.

For our 3 Year Anniversary, we debuted five new beers on tap. Making their premier, we had Aerial Ace, BBA Snake Staff, Château Pépé, 3rd Revolution, and Gale to Glass available on tap (with the latter two beers available in brand-new, wax sealed bombers). We also had a bottle-exclusive, vanilla bean variant of 3rd Revolution called Lunar Revolution, available in bombers only! Our brewer, Zac, wanted to bring new styles to the table that we have never before brewed. You all gave us excellent feedback and gave us tons of motivation for year 4!

This year has shown us how lucky we are to be a part of this community here in Howell. From our regulars to first-timers, the amount of friendly faces that we are fortunate enough to encounter is always the most rewarding factor for all of us in Team Eternity. As always, we appreciate the joy you all bring to us working here.

We cannot wait to see what year #4 looks like for Eternity Brewing!
Thanks for the journey!

Getting A “Taste of Eternity”

Beer, food, flavors, and friends; these are a few of our favorite things. They’re even more enjoyable when you can have all four at once, which is the complete recipe for our Taste of Eternity events. Not only are we bringing fun flavors and beer together, we’re bringing friends and families together to enjoy a fun and unique beer-drinking experience.

We’ve all had a beer that made us say “Wow, this would taste great with _____!”. Maybe it’s a certain cheese, meat, or...Girl Scout cookie?? Things took a sweet turn during our Taste of Eternity Girl Scout Cookie Pairing Event back in March. We matched four of our beers with four Girl Scout Cookies for a fun take on dessert, and a sweet way to taste some beer!

For those Mug Club members who enjoy their libations, we hosted the Mug Club Taste of Eternity: Cocktail Edition, a guided tasting of cocktail-inspired beers that were reminiscent of some of popular cocktail styles. With the flavors of a Mojito, White Russian, Second Circle, and Bloody Mary, Zac guided our Mug Club participants in this tasting while explaining the way we were able to transform our beers into a cocktail-like experience. We can all say cheers to that!

This month, the taproom will be hosting a Ben&Jerry’s and Beer Ice Cream Pairing Party.  Four creamy and rich ice cream flavors will be matched with four of our beers to create a whole new meaning to the phrase “enjoying a pint”.

What other styles of pairing events would you like to see us host? Let us know in the comments what would tickle your taste buds!

Cheers!

The Beer Belly Rumors are True

Many of you have started to notice that Dayna is beginning to get quite a bit of a beer belly. We just thought we would share a post to confirm that the rumors are true, Mike and Dayna are expecting their first child in early June! We also thought this would be a great time to answer some of those oh so common questions that we know many of you have been dying to ask!

Q. Do you know if it’s a boy or a girl?
A. We love a good surprise! So, we have decided not to find out the baby’s gender. We’re just as excited as you are to find out what we’re having.

Q. Do you have names picked out?
A. Yes! And just in case you were going to ask, we are keeping those a secret until our baby is born. As we already mentioned, we love a good surprise.

Q. You’re due in June? Awesome! You should have your baby on my dad’s birthday!
A. While that would be really cool, Dayna is not taking requests at this time.

Q. Is the nursery ready?
A. To be totally honest, nope.

Q. Are you painting the nursery?
A. See answer above. When do we have time to paint?! We’re sticking with the current neutral color that it already has.

Q. Does this mean that Zac is now the main brewer at Eternity?
A. Yes! We’re fortunate to have him!

Q. How have you been feeling?
A. We are all feeling well and healthy.

Q. Do people ask to touch your stomach?
A. So far, nobody has lost their hand. Ha! Let’s keep it that way. Look with your eyes, not with your hands.

Q. Can I tell you my delivery story?
A. No, this is our first. Dayna is not cool with freaking out. Let’s continue with our theme: We would like to be surprised.

Thank you for being on this journey with us. We are looking forward to expanding our family and finally getting to meet this little human. We appreciate your prayers, support, and positive comments at this time.

When You Have a Luau in the Middle of February…

Thank you to everyone who came out on Friday night to support The ARC of Livingston

We released a new beer, Grandpa’s Bungalow, a Tequila Barrel Aged lager with lime and salt. We donated a portion of this beer’s sales to The ARC of Livingston. The ARC was also able to get a bunch of donations for leis!

It was a fun night with yummy food from Hickory BBQ to boot!

Our staff voted for the best Hawaiian shirts in the crowd. Check out these guys! They went home with some fun prizes too!

If you didn’t get a chance to stop in, we will most likely continue the tradition next year! It is a great way to warm up and have fun with those crazy Hawaiian shirts!

BeerYoga

This past week I read this article about beer yoga. No, I don’t mean do some yoga and then go drink a beer, I mean, with beer in hand, do some yoga and take a drink every once in a while. Don’t believe me? Here is the original article.

I recently got back into yoga. I am not devout about attending classes, but every once in a while I start up a class and get back into the stretching and muscle toning that it is good for. I also don’t really get into the spiritual side of it. I do however, enjoy how relaxing it can be at times, or on the flip side, how great of a workout it can be without feeling like a work out!

Reading this article made me wonder if we can ever do something like this at Eternity. Sure, we have hosted yoga classes in the past and after the class, people are welcome to walk up and grab a drink, but could we ever pull off this full-out BeerYoga?

We would need the right instructor of course. These guys are serious. When you first read the headline you chuckled a little didn’t you? No? Well, I did. Anyway, if you actually read it, there is no joking, this is a serious thing. I wouldn’t mind trying it out myself. Is there anyone out there who can combine these great things and come teach a class here? Don’t be shy! Let’s try it!

Cheers my friends,

2017: The year for Nerds, Brewery Events, and New Beers!

Well, 2016 has come and gone in the blink of an eye. And now, 2017 is upon us, awaiting our orders.

Heh, well, that may be a bit overly dramatic, but I have been watching a lot of Smallville lately, so that is what you get folks.

We started 2017 off with a BANG on January 1 with our team Christmas party. Check out these beautiful people right here!

Team Eternity Jan 1, 2017

Let's see... what do we have to look forward to in 2017? There are a ton of movies and TV shows I am excited about! How about you?! We sponsored Rogue One: A Star Wars Story at the Howell Theater. So if you haven't seen it yet, you better get a move on and go in there to watch it! Mike and I are also excited for The Resurrection of Gavin Stone, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, Logan, Thor Ragnarok, and Star Wars Episode VIII! Let's see... and there are a bunch of Netflix series coming out this year, Iron Fist, The Defenders, and The Punisher. Oh what a great year to be a nerd! Sounds like all we do is watch TV... but I promise we do other things! Like read comic books... and...

We also work at Eternity Brewing! So I will give you a "taste" of what is to come in 2017. We will be at more beerfests and local festivals. Let's see, we will be bringing some things back to Eternity like Girl Scout Cookie & Beer Pairing night, and maybe some cornhole over the summer. Ah... summer...... But until we get there, we are trying out this Game Night thing on Thursdays. 1st & 3rd Thursdays: Cards Against Humanity! 2nd & 4th Thursdays: UNO!

Game Night Thursdays!

Ah right, and you want to know about the beer too don't you? Some of you have been patiently waiting for Rebel Heart to come out. Don't fear, the release day is near! (Check your email this week!) And how about that Vanilla Wafer Brown Ale that came out a long time ago in a brewery not so far away? Yeah, that will be back, keep an eye out! Oh, and how about some new, never-brewed-before-beers you ask? We are going to be experimenting with a few new wheat ales this year, we are prepping a cherry beer to release on Valentines day, we will continue to add to our "Terrible" IPA series, and... how about a Star S'mores Series for ya?
Star S'mores Ep IV A New Mallow
Star S'mores Ep V The Mallow Strikes Back
Star S'mores Ep VI Return of the Mallow
Star S'mores Ep VII The Mallow Awakens

Yeah, I said it. Now we just have to brew it...

Cheers to you and yours on this cold Michigan night.
